This little secret is Japanese Maccha Green Tea Powder. Maccha is pronounced mat-cha. This powerful Super Food gem holds the power to boost your energy, metabolism, health and spirits. After my own personal research and successful experimentation I was compelled to write an article to share with you so you too can discover the power of this magical little green powder.

Maccha can:

Maccha can:

Raise your energy level naturally with no negative side effects while creating calm and relaxation

Boost metabolism (thermogenesis) by up to 40% if consumed 5-6 days a week!!

Create calm alertness and relaxed mental clarity

Contain up to 137 times more of the potent antioxidant EGCG than steeped green tea

Help regulate healthy blood sugar levels

Support healthy cholesterol levels within a normal range

Act as a strong blood detoxifier and alkalizer

Maccha is vital healthy tea. With high quality Japanese Maccha powder you ingest the entire first growth young tea-leaves, typically the finest Japanese tea leaves at that. Maccha Powder is approximately 10 times more potent than regular brewed green tea in which the leaves are steeped and thrown away. Maccha contains about 70 times the antioxidants of orange juice and 9 times the beta-carotene of spinach.

Super Star Antioxidants – EGCG, Catechins, Polyphenols

Super Star Antioxidants – EGCG, Catechins, Polyphenols

Maccha has one of the highest ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) counts of all the “superfoods” currently identified. ORAC is a method of measuring antioxidant capacity. Maccha has been quoted to score 1384 TE/g, which is more than Acai berries (1027 TE/g) and far more than blueberries (24 TE/g) to name just a few examples.

Maccha is charged with catechins and polyphenols which possess powerful antioxidant properties, the most powerful being EGCG. Antioxidants help the body to combat and neutralize free radicals which destroy healthy tissue, age you more quickly and play a large role in degenerating the body, leading to disease. Antioxidants also support and boost your immune system and heart to keep you at peak wellness.

Zen Amino!

Zen Amino!

L-Theanine is a unique amino acid found almost exclusively in the green tea plant (Camellia sinensis). The tea plants are shaded before harvest which increases the L-Theanine content and gives Maccha its naturally pleasant and sweet flavor. The effects of L-Theanine are remarkable. It has the exceptional ability to stimulate relaxing alpha brain waves typically achieved only through meditation and characterized by a calm alertness and relaxed mental clarity. The relaxing effects of L-Theanine on the nervous system create the feeling of bliss. What’s even better is that clinical studies have shown L-Theanine to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve memory. L-Theanine is immediately effective within the first 30 minutes after drinking a cup of Maccha and can last for up to 8 hours.

A Different Caffeine Experience

A Different Caffeine Experience

Due to its unique combination of phyto-nutrients, the caffeine in Maccha is metabolized in a very different and much healthier way than coffee. The caffeine in Maccha binds to the larger catechin (antioxidant) molecules and is released into the bloodstream slowly over time, as the catechins are broken down and assimilated. The result is “time-released” smaller dosages of caffeine that provide sustained energy for up to 6 hours.

This also prevents the insulin and adrenalin spikes typical for coffee consumption which create blood sugar lows. Any negative effects are counter balanced by the relaxing and calming effect of the amino acid L-Theanine. The effect becomes a state of mental clarity, calm alertness and sustained energy.

Alkalize and Detoxify

Alkalize and Detoxify

The process of shading the Maccha tea plants for several weeks before harvest considerably increases the chlorophyll content. Chlorophyll can act as a strong blood detoxifier and aid in balancing the ph levels of the blood to create more alkalnity. Chlorophyll is also known to have antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties.

In your quest to find the best quality Maccha you can, you may notice that the fine little powder you seek is commonly misspelled as Matcha. Rest assured that it’s the same as Maccha! The reason for the misspelling is that Americans commonly spell the pronounced cc in Maccha with a t…turning the correct Japanese preferred spelling of Maccha into the American spelled version of Matcha. The Japanese government when asked about the common misspelling asked that it be labeled and sold with the correct spelling. Just make sure you buy fine quality Japanese Maccha.

Many people believe that the primary cause of osteoporosis is the lack of calcium in their diet. However, in the overall picture, calcium is only a small piece of the puzzle. Though calcium supplements can certainly help, there are other dietary concerns that need to be examined.
Actually, the primary dietary cause of osteoporosis is the eating foods that are highly acidic in nature, such as refined white sugar, refined white flour, high-fructose corn syrup, soft drinks, cookies, candies, sweets, desserts, and anything containing sweeteners.
The over-consumption of these products causes the pH level in your blood to become very acidic. In an attempt to counterbalance this, your body reaches out for any calcium and magnesium it can find, and releases those into your bloodstream in an attempt to keep the pH level at a healthy balance.
Therefore, with every soft drink, candy, cake and goodie you indulge in, you are robbing your skeleton of its bone density. The calcium and magnesium the body harvests in an attempt to counteract this acidic environment gets passed through your kidneys, where it can also contribute to kidney stones and exits your body through your urine.
To prevent losing your bone mass to dietary causes, simply avoid consuming any white flour, processed sugars, added sugars, soft drinks, sweets, candies, breads, or any other ingredients that are made with refined carbohydrates.
In addition, certain superfoods, like broccoli, cabbage, celery and other dark green leafy vegetables help keep the pH balance in a healthy equilibrium. You need to get plenty of calcium and magnesium from healthy sources such as organic, plant-based vitamins. You also need to supplement your diet with various sea vegetables, which are naturally alkaline. Those include seaweed, kelp, and many others. Sprouts are also an awesome superfood choice.
Blueberries have been shown to shield the brain from stress, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. Research has also shown that diets rich in blueberries significantly improved both the learning capacity and motor skills.
Avocados, though considered a fatty fruit, contribute to healthy blood flow and decreased blood pressure, lessening the chances of developing hypertension, which can lead to a stroke.
Deep-water fish, such as salmon is a wise, freshwater fish choice. It’s abundant in omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are essential for healthy brain function.
Nuts and seeds are good sources of vitamin E, an important vitamin needed by your brain to stave off declining cognitive functions. Cashews, peanuts, walnuts, sunflower and sesame seeds and almonds are all great choices.
Whole-grain breads, brown rice, and oatmeal also contribute to a healthy brain by reducing the risk for cardiac disease. By promoting a healthy heart and improved blood flow, the brain is sure to thrive via excellent oxygen and nutrient delivery through the bloodstream. Complex carbohydrates also supply the brain with a steady stream of glucose that enhances brain function.
It’s important to avoid simple carbohydrates often found in junk food because the glucose gives the brain a short-lived sugar high, often followed by a crash that makes you feel hungry and tired.
Freshly brewed tea also has potent antioxidants, especially the class known as catechines, which also promotes healthy blood flow. Since black teas do contain caffeine it’s important to use it sensibly.
Dark chocolate has powerful antioxidant properties, contains several natural stimulants, which enhance focus and concentration, and encourages the production of endorphins, which helps improve mood. Again, moderation is the key.

The emerging market for products claiming to slow aging is undeniably astounding. Among these, supplements containing antioxidants perhaps give the best promises to the consumers. Aside from the fact that these are a wound to the pocket, antioxidant products offer a delight to those who would like to look young in a flash. But how does this free-radical sponge really work?
Free Radicals Defined
First identified by Moses Gomberg in 1900, free radicals are molecular species that are highly reactive. These tiny things play a role in chemical reactions including that of the human. As the cells produce energy (for function and survival), the also create oxygen molecules that are unstable because its electrons are unpaired. These unpaired electrons make this thing to be highly labile.
In the human body, if these unstable molecules go together with other molecules, they would kill their newly acquainted fellows, thereby speeding up the aging process. Drinking, the radiation coming from TVs and computers, drugs, and cigarette smoking spawn free radicals. If we persistently have stress and do not take them away by way of exercise, we give way to the formation of free radicals. If we don’t have a good sleep at least seven hours, we are actually exciting production of more fee radicals.
A lot of changes in our body are as a result of the activities of the free radicals. They damage the DNA and impair other vital functions of cells, causing premature death to these cells. Over time, all these damages would mount up and cause our body to accelerate aging.
Upon breathing, oxygen induces a process called oxidation. And it is in here where free radicals form. This process is likened to the oxidation of metals. Once oxidized, aluminum turns to be white, iron becomes rusty, and copper transforms into green. In the same logic that oxidation damages metals; free radicals are also detrimental to our body.
How Antioxidants Work
Antioxidants are molecules that have the capability of preventing oxidation of other molecules (by the name itself: antioxidant). In the light of anti-aging, antioxidants prevent the formation of free radicals. Antioxidants are naturally occurring substances found in plants. If our body has an abundance of antioxidants, we will be able to prevent the harm brought about by free radicals.
Benefits of Antioxidants
Antioxidants can help you look younger, live longer, and be at your optimum health. Foods rich in antioxidants like fruits and vegetables can give you great protection from coronary heart diseases, and age-related diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.Antioxidants can also strengthen our immune resistance to diseases such as influenza and other bacterial and viral infections.
These substances also reduce a person’s risk of acquiring cancer, an incurable disease. Antioxidants also prevent glaucoma and the age-related degeneration of our macula, the part of the eye that is dedicated for superior acuity vision. Antioxidants also beat down the passing of the aging clock making your skin and other organs rejoice.
Carotenoids, zinc, selenium, and the Vitamins A, C, and E are some of the main antioxidants. Glutathione is said to be the most powerful among all forms of antioxidants. They are naturally present in our body since we were young but depletes as we get older.
If antioxidant supplements are not your type, you may take some delectable bite of the super fruits such as blueberry and raspberry which are said to contain the most number of antioxidants.
So now that you have understood well how these miracle supplements work, you would realize why these wonder tablets cost a lot. May you have a healthily long and young life!
